Crescent Lake is a Northern suburb of St. Petersburg and is known for its beautiful lake and parks, as well as the eclectic mix of early and mid-twentieth century architecture. In the mid to late 1800s, European settlers used the land for agricultural farming and citrus groves, but it wasn’t until 1927 that Crescent Lake Park opened and gained recognition by surrounding areas.
Shortly after its opening, Crescent Lake became home to the New York Yankees’ Spring Training facility, Huggins-Stengel Field, where baseball legends such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio frequented.
Crescent Lake is a historic gem of St. Petersburg and has remained popular for its natural beauty and welcoming neighborhood.
