Domain Homes and The Erickson Team partnership
Recently RE/MAX Metro’s Erickson Team entered into a partnership with a fastly growing home building company Domain Homes. The two year time investment made by Mat and Leisa Erickson has culminated into a relationship that will ultimately be a game changer, not only for the Domain sub-team they are forging, but also for Metro.
Domain Homes is a homebuilding company started here in Tampa, FL. CEO Sharon McSwain of Atlanta, GA partnered with Elaine and Dan McSwain to create this company for the emerging community of South Tampa in 2010. Ms. McSwain’s name in the metro Atlanta region is synonymous with “innovative home designs, strategic locations and exceptional customer service.” Recognizing a niche here in Florida, Ms. McSwain partnered with Elaine and Dan McSwain to create a home buying experience that catered to families in an emerging area.
COO Kevin Robles, who has vast experience in the homebuilding market in the Tampa Bay area, joined the team that same year. Since then the Domain Homes name has remained a positive force in the area. In 2014, Domain Homes outsold their closest competitors in South Tampa three times over. Now they have turned their sights across the bridge to St. Petersburg.
Enter the Ericksons. Mat & Leisa Erickson’s passion for the Uptown Historical neighborhood of St. Pete is well-known. They live nearby, attend the association meetings held there, and see vision for future residents there. In our interview for this issue Leisa said, “This is the best value in St. Pete. This is the next Old Northeast.” Their passion for the neighborhood coupled with their ambition led the pair to boldly launch a two-year tracking around St. Pete of Kevin Robles and the Domain Homes land acquisition operator, Jim McCarthy. Their tireless efforts have paid off and thus began a new and exciting partnership.
Domain Homes began building property in St. Pete in 2013. From the time of the first shovel breaking ground to the CO (Certificate of Occupancy), homes are being built in a record time of 120 days! The average price of a 4BR/3BA home is around $400,000. With 22 homes completed by the end of 2015, this means over $9.6 million dollars in listing revenue for RE/MAX Metro. Sharon McSwain, Domain Homes CEO, lauds the efforts of her expert team of builders and designers, knowing that families are acquiring a beautiful well-made home. With the aid of the Erickson’s Domain Team, Ms. McSwain strongly believes,
“The possibilities are endless. I see us doing big things together. We feel that the partnership between Metro and Domain will make us stronger and ultimately more valuable in the community. Having the Erickson Domain Team as partners helps us understand the needs of the community. And at the the end of the day it is about servicing the needs of our customers.”
Mat is very confident of the coming year for his Domain Team. He knows St. Pete very well and wants to service homebuyers looking for what this city has to offer:
“People who live in St. Pete know just how different we are from Tampa. For people coming in from somewhere else, it may look the same, but it’s not. It is a very tight knit community. You need strong relationships to grow in this community. Domain has identified us as the people who can get the job done. Our goal is to help Domain grow their sales here and almost double it by next year.”
President Rick Brown couldn’t be more thrilled of the hard work the Erickson’s have put in to broker this deal. Having the Metro name be synonymous with such a high quality home building company, is just one part of the future of the company. At one of the Erickson Domain Team’s recruiting meetings, Rick Brown stated, “We are really excited about this partnership.”
