According to RealtyTrac, there are currently 3,298 properties in Saint Petersburg, FL that are in some stage of foreclosure (default, auction, or bank owned) while the number of homes listed for sale on RealtyTrac in 2,190.
 
In July the number of properties that received a foreclosure filing in Saint Petersburg, FL was 9% higher than the previous month and 47% higher than the same time last year. 

Home sales for June 2015 were down 22% compared with the previous month, and down 47% compared with a year ago. The median sales price of a non-distressed home was $149,555. The median sales price of a foreclosure home was $74,000 or 51% lower than non-distressed home sales.
