Continued Downtown St. Petersburg Development

Downtown St. Petersburg has been undergoing a Renaissance  over the past couple of years. From restaurants to upscale rental lofts to elegant condos you can see the progress of new development on almost every corner. Times Publishing recently sold their historic Tramor Cafeteria building to Chicago based Second City Properties. The plan is for a German themed restaurant and beer garden named, Hofbrauhaus. Other local projects in the works are the YMCA conversion and the Beacon 430 apartments located between 3rd and 4th Avenues South.

With continued investment in the St. Petersburg area from entrepreneurs like Bill Edwards, who is currently converting the  old Bay Walk into the new Sun Dial complex, the downtown area from Tampa Bay to Grand Central is thriving with new business and tourism.
